Are you reading this blog thinking, “Danielle….my phone changes it for me….Get into the 21st century!” If so, bear with me just a moment here. Every year I think the same, and then I walk into the gym and realize all the things I should have done to make sure I was better prepared. So, here you go (yes, this is a SYSTEM!)

1. Change all LED clocks in the gym. I use these clocks out on the floor so all classes start and end on time according to the clock on the floor. (I also love this clock because it’s big, easy to see and has a battery back up if you’re in the Midwest and lose power twice a week during those spring thunderstorms.)

2. If you have Sunday practices or Sunday events (my showcase is tonight!!) make sure parents are aware that it’s Daylight Savings. They’ll be super stressed if they’ve been looking at the farmhouse themed clock on the wall all day just to realize it should have been an hour ahead and now they’re late for practice.

3. Check those smoke alarms at the gym. I’ve always been taught to test them when the time switches over. It’s a great system to have for safety and your insurance will be glad you have a designated time (twice per year) to test them.

4. Finally, if you’re not naturally an early riser, NOW is the time to change that! Waking up an hour earlier has never been easier…just watch those bedtimes.

I hope you found that helpful! Now for me – it’s off to get ready for SHOWCASE!!!
