Do you ever see a gym owner who seems like they’re doing amazing one minute, and they’re closing their doors the next? There are two reasons for this:

  1. They are working in their business day in and day out. They’re seeing the daily wins, but those wins are related to the technical side of our businesses (kids getting new skills, winning a competition, or an early full-out with zero deductions.) They’re focused on so many of the daily areas of their business, that they’re missing the big picture. They may have hit zero in both a routine and their bank account the same day. (Talk about an emotional roller coaster for a business owner.)
  2. They are short-sighted. They’re working with focus and guidance, but they’re quitting just before takeoff. Remember how an airplane has to taxi to the runway, and then it has to build speed before it can raise the landing gear? Some people are ALMOST at the right speed for takeoff, and they start slowing down thinking take off will never happen.

In both of these situations, a business coach is KEY. A coach will help you see the sides of your business that you’re missing when you’re coaching day in and day out. A business coach will help you see the take off that’s just a few feet ahead. A great coach will help if they find out you’ve taken off from Denver and heading west when your destination is Chicago (it’s possible to get there, but what a long, unnecessary flight that would be!)
